Route Details
Alodino Castle is an ancient border castle built on a high rock near the Dicle River, offering a miniature view of Hasankeyf. The valley and canyons here are suitable for day hikes, canyon walking, and camping activities.
You can always reach Atlıhan Village by vehicle via Kantar Bridge from Batman. Starting from the Dicle Valley, a 2 km walk through the valleys leads to a high peak. From here, you continue with a 5 km walk to reach Atlıhan Village and Alodino Castle. After descending from the castle, you walk along the path towards the ridges of the valley and reach the road near Kumluca Village through the oak tree slope paths. Some parts of this trail have a steep incline.
From June to October, Alodino Castle is not very suitable for hiking due to high temperatures, but camping can be done around the village ant the castle.
The Alodino Castle Hiking Route is approximately 16 km from Dicle Valley to Atlıhan (Kelehe) Village and from Alodino Castle to Kumluca (Mirdese) Village. This hiking activity typically takes 8 hours.
